Get to know your photographer
Hi, I'm Alexis!
I'm the photographer who’s probably way too excited about good lighting and genuine laughs.
I’m a firm believer that family photos don’t have to feel stiff or awkward. When you’re in front of my camera, we keep it real — real smiles, real connection, and the kind of moments that make you think, “Yep, that’s us.” Whether we’re shooting in my wonderfully oversized studio (yes, I can fit that many relatives), wandering your property, or taking over your living room, I bring a mix of organization, creativity, and just a dash of friendly chaos-control.
I photograph everything, which basically means I’m really good at wrangling big groups, getting kids to laugh, and catching those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments you’ll want to keep forever. I’m patient, upbeat, and known to make even camera-shy people forget they’re being photographed.
At heart, I’m here to give you photos that feel like you — the joy, the energy, the quirks, and the love that makes you and/or your crew one-of-a-kind.
Thanks for stopping by. I’d love to meet you and turn your favorite moments into memories you can hold onto.
My girls are my everything and also the reason I drink my coffee strong… everyday. Motherhood is wonderfully chaotic, a little wild, and honestly the best adventure I’ve ever signed up for. Clients always tell me I’m endlessly patient with kids during sessions, which is funny, because I can’t convince my own children to stand in front of my camera for more than three seconds. They keep me humble. And entertained. And slightly exhausted.
But that’s exactly why I love photographing families. I get the giggles, the wiggles, the meltdowns, and the magic. I’m here for the real stuff, the moments you’ll want to remember long after the toys are put away and the house is quiet again.
If you're looking for photos that feel like your beautifully chaotic life, you’re in the right spot.
Creativity has always been my default setting. I planned on an artsy path from the start, then I picked up a camera and everything clicked (pun fully intended). Senior year, my school finally offered a photography class, and I dove in with a bunch of classmates and a teacher who was learning right along with us. It was chaotic, hilarious, and perfect.
A few award-winning photos later, I spotted the art college booth on career day and basically sprinted over. I applied, sent my portfolio, and got accepted with half a year of high school still left. I couldn’t wait.
College meant studying Digital Photography by day and shooting nonstop at my first job Sears Portrait Studio by night. From there, I hopped through a few corporate studios until posing people became second nature.
Then my daughter arrived, and my camera became her shadow. Eventually, I missed photographing other humans, so I joined an in-hospital newborn photography company. I moved up fast, learned everything inside out, and kept being told I was “irreplaceable.” That meant a lot… but it also told me it was time to build something of my own.
And that’s how Bell Grace Photography was born. Today, I’m proudly serving two hospitals and running a studio I once thought I’d never have. Funny how life develops.
